Butterflies, Scooters, and Smiles

This was at Emmas best friends Lola's birthday party right before we moved.  Face painting for everyone.

Quinn scooting in a section of the apartment complex we are staying temporarily.

Emma cruising on the scooter and trying some new tricks (while wearing butterfly wings and a ladybug helmet).

Tada.

I was trying to get a picture of Buster in the chair at the place we are staying but some other people wanted in the picture too.

Look closely Buster is in there somewhere.  Quinn is using his head as a pillow.

Emma checking out the Olympic ice skating up close.

This is posted at the pool.  Found some amusement in it.....

Welcome to 2014

The new year brings new tricks.  Quinn has figured out how to get out of our side yard.

Playing on the caterpillar thing at the park.

Helping me make pasta.

Rolling it out with our new handy pasta roller.

Emma wanted me to take her picture in Michigan.

Quinn woke up on my day off and said, "let's go to the beach so we can swim in the cold water"  She got her wish, it wasn't very nice out but we had fun.

Quinn loves chasing the seagulls who think they are getting food but she just lures them in and chases them.

A birthday party, Emma wanted to be painted like a kitty.

Payton and Emma.  It was Paytons 5th birthday party.

More beach days, it was 80 here last week!

Quinn wanted to make sand angels.  Turned out pretty good.

She even let Emma and I bury her!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Holidays at the zoo with the cousins.  Max isn't too excited about cute picture taking opportunities

Emma says this is her and mama.  She said my hair isn't really that tall in real life just in the picture (mine is the green one).

Yes that bulb is as big as their heads!  One of the houses in our neighborhood that goes nuts with the holiday decorations.

I wasn't very good about getting opening present pictures, but here is the bed Uncle Dean made Quinny for her dolls.  She loves it (someone else does too, luckily Quinn is a good sharer).

Santa knew just what Emma wanted, an Octopod.  You will have to google it :)

Caught this cute pic while Quinny and Dada were down by the water.

Went to the beach this week to get some sun.

Mema was in town for Christmas, she met us at the beach with Max and Noah.

Emma and Quinn hanging out in their fort playing on the Ipad.

Emma and Quinn both got scooters for Christmas.  Our sidewalks are a little lumpy for scooters so Quinn rode her bike.  We have been taking them down to the school by our house that has a huge area to ride them.

Ooops Do I have a Blog?

The store I work in Chula Vista had a Holiday Parade through the mall.  We represented REI by riding our lit up bikes through the parade.  The girls joined us and Quinn was quite the entertainer.

This is Quinn on the far side, she would stop in front of a crowd and ring her bell on her bike and when she figured out they were clapping for her it was pretty funny.  She also wiped out at one point and silenced the crowd.  She got up wiped her hands on her shirt and kept going.  This also drew quite the cheering section.

Getting ready for the parade.  They had reindeer antlers but opted to not wear them.  My bosses two sons are the boys.

Weeeee.

We have been bike riding around the block a lot.  Here are some fun biking pics.

She is getting very comfortable on her push bike (no pedals).  The other day she was ahead of us and I saw her trying to get her bike up on the 2ft rock wall.  I get to her and she says, "mom I want to try and ride my bike on the wall"   Hmm.  Not ready for that :)

Dressed up for Thanksgiving.

Cuties For the cause :)

Will someone please just throw this?

It rained!!  Woo Hoo.  We did some puddle jumping and then even got rained on!

Super Emma.  I pointed out she lost her clothes, but she said it helped her fly faster to help people.

Daddy at a handball tournament.

Dada and Papas cheering section.

Hmm this new book all about Pasta sure looks interesting.

Making cookies for someone extra special who Emma drew there name for Christmas.

Sunday night battle of the minds.  I think Max won :)
